The Role
The role of the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for managing and leading the operational team . This role is an evening shift role.You will need to ensure that the team are meeting the targets and goals set by the company while maintaining a safe and smooth-running warehouse operation.
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent leadership and people management skills. You will need to be able to motivate and inspire your team, whilst ensuring that the highest standards of efficiency and safety are met. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management, stock management, manufacturing lines, along with warehouse transformation experience. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring that all warehouse activities are performed efficiently and safely
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring that stock is replenished in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Develop and implement new processes and procedures to optimise warehouse efficiency and productivity
- Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment, ensuring that it is in good working condition and any repairs or maintenance are carried out promptly
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols
- Develop and manage a team of warehouse personnel, providing guidance, coaching, and training as necessary
- Cycle counting and annual stock takes
- Optimise stock holding
Requirements
Demonstrate a track record of Health and Safety expertise.
- Previous experience in warehouse management
- Strong understanding of warehouse best practices, including inventory management and order fulfillment
- Experience with warehouse transformation projects and process improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
